VINCE NEIL Jams With LOVE SEED MAMA JUMP At Atlantic City Birthday Bash
March 1, 2007Roger Hillis of Salisbury, Maryland's The Daily Times reports that MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil was backed by members of local rock group LOVE SEED MAMA JUMP during a February 10 appearance at the Borgata nightclub in Atlantic City, N.J.
LOVE SEED learned MÖTLEY's arrangement of the BROWNSVILLE STATION classic "Smokin' in the Boys Room" for the occasion — and winged it on an impromptu, acoustic version of the CRÜE's "Home Sweet Home". Neil — who was celebrating his birthday and promoting the release of his new tequila brand, Tres Rios — and the band also covered "Blitzkrieg Bop" by the RAMONES and "Rock 'n' Roll" by LED ZEPPELIN.
MÖTLEY CRÜE's 2005 reunion tour took the music business by surprise and became the No. 11 grossing tour of the year by taking in close to $40 million in 22 cities, according to Pollstar, which tracks concert-industry data. It teamed with AEROSMITH for a double-bill tour last year.
